Fawad Alam hits century after decade and changed the 144-year history of Test cricket

After not playing Test cricket for 10 years his first century, he became the only player in the history of Test cricket to score a century again on his return.

 National team middle-order batsman Fawad Alam hits century after decade and changed the 144-year history of Test cricket by scoring  century in the fourth innings against New Zealand. In the fourth innings on the last day of the Mount Manga Noi Test between Pakistan and New Zealand, Fawad Alam scored a magnificent century after 11 years, the second Test century of his career. He has become the only player in the history of Test cricket to score a century again.

Fawad Alam had earlier scored a century against Sri Lanka in his Test debut in July 2009. Fawad Alam is the first Pakistani batsman to score a century in the fourth innings in New Zealand, in addition to his fourth innings outside Asia. Fawad Alam was present at the wicket for more than 360 minutes, which is the longest time by any Pakistani batsman outside Asia in this century. Earlier, Asad Shafiq had batted for 336 minutes in the fourth innings in 2016 in Brisbane.
